Contact Conference


After a long delay due to covid, another tragic setback occurred, when Contact founding leader Prof. Jim Funaro passed away. The Contact board of directors continues to meet, and plan for the next gathering.

Contact will have a presence at OryCon, located in Portland, Oregon in October 2024.

The 30th conference was held on April 6th-8th, 2018, at the Domain Hotel in Sunnyvale, California.
The keynote speaker was the SETI Institute's Nathalie A. Cabrol, presenting a university semester's worth of fascinating information about Mars.

The 28th conference was held on March 21-23, 2014, in Sunnyvale, California. (At this point, Contact switched to a biennial schedule.)

The 27th annual Contact conference began on March 30th, 2012, at the SETI Institute in Mountain View, CA. The remaining two days were held on April 1st - 2nd at the nearby Domain Hotel.
